One Minute With….. Travis Kelly

Introducing… Travis Kelly!
Travis recently re-located from Ohio to the CLE team and joined us as the Director of Sales. Travis’ focus is day-to-day business operations and sales development growth, along with maintaining and building relationships with clients. Travis is also an expert in the video side of live events, and can be seen on show sites wielding that knowledge.

Name? Travis Kelly

How long have you worked at CLE? 15 Months.

What is your role at CLE? Director of Sales (however, all of us at CLE wear many hats)

How did you first learn about the company? I was first introduced to Arren by a mutual industry acquaintance. CLE came highly recommended to me as an event production company that would be a good fit. It didn’t take me long to know that CLE was going to be an amazing opportunity for me.

What is your favorite part of working here? My favorite part of working here is definitely the people.  I was immediately welcomed into the CLE family soon as I arrived.  We are a small, close-knit group here at CLE and that reflects in our culture.  I enjoy coming to work every day, and I think that’s something that is pretty rare in this world.

What is something you learned in the last week? I learned that Montana is extremely beautiful….. I was on the road last week for a show.

Who inspires you? It’s extremely hard to narrow that down to a single person.  But I would say as a group, my family is who inspires me.  My wife and my children are amazing people, who do amazing things on a daily basis, and that is very inspiring to me.

What’s your hometown? I was born and raised in a little town in NE Ohio, called Southington. And by little I mean little, I graduated high school with 38 kids.

What was the best concert you’ve ever attended? Easy answer for me here, 1995 at the Toledo Sports Arena. Nine Inch Nails, on the Further Down The Spiral Tour. It was the best performance of any band I’ve ever seen live, and I’ve seen a lot!

What is your favorite family tradition? Our Christmas Eve morning breakfast. When we lived in Ohio my wife would always have a breakfast held on the day before Christmas with open invitations for family and friends. Our family is a bit scattered across the states now so we don’t get to have them anymore.  I miss those for sure!

What has been your favorite project at CLE? In the short time that I’ve been here I would say the World Food Prize week last fall was probably my favorite one.  There were so many moving parts and locations and to see the team excel at all of them was pretty awesome.

What’s your drink of choice? Water, coffee, and bourbon. (not necessarily in that order)

What’s your go-to karaoke song? “Wanted Dead Or Alive”- Bon Jovi

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work? I enjoy biking when the weather permits, playing my guitar, taking photos, and I’m still a big kid too and love video games!
